Delete your SplitRoute data
SplitRoute, by Arden Hilario
SplitRoute has no accounts, so there is no account to close. Your trips live on your phone, and a trip only reaches our servers if you share it with a trip code. You can delete all of it yourself, from inside the app.
Delete a trip from your phone and the cloud
- Open SplitRoute and go to the trip.
- Tap ••• at the top right, then Delete trip. (Or long-press the trip on the main screen.)
- For a shared trip, choose Delete for Everyone. This removes the trip from the cloud immediately, and from your phone.
Delete for Me Only removes the trip from your phone and leaves the shared copy for the other people on the trip. When the last person on a trip deletes it, the cloud copy is removed too.
What is deleted
- On your phone: the trip's itinerary, packing list, expenses, receipt photos and history, straight away.
- In the cloud (shared trips): the same trip contents, straight away when you choose Delete for Everyone. Nothing is kept in a backup.
- Operator passenger details never leave your phone and can be deleted from Settings at any time.
What is kept
- Copies on other people's phones. Anyone who joined a shared trip keeps the copy already on their device. The app cannot reach into someone else's phone.
- Purchase records. Apple or Google Play, and RevenueCat (which the app uses to remember purchases), keep a record of what was bought against an anonymous ID, so that purchases can be restored. It holds no name or email. Email us to have it deleted.
Ask us instead
If you no longer have the app or the phone, email splitroute.app@gmail.com with the trip code (shown under Invite in the trip) and we will delete that trip from the cloud within 30 days. Without a code we cannot tell which trip is yours: shared trips are stored only under their code.
